How to promote your blog as a publisher

  What is Spread.us and how can I promote my blog? Spread.us is a tool to promote your blog. It enables website readers to automatically share and distribute newly published content from their favorite blog (like The Next Web, Cult of Mac, Lockergnome and First Showing). Exponentially multiplying your reach.

• Something went wrong with making my first spread.

  Chances are that your settings have not been set correct. Please double check:

  • Permissions of your Facebook & Twitter handle, has it been set up correctly? Make sure to check the instructions about how to set up the Facebook and Twitter applications.
  • Please note that for the Spread.us application to work properly, previous installed Twitter apps, like Twitter Feed, dlvr.it, etc, need to be removed.

• How do I reset my password on Spread.us?

  If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it here.

• How do I turn on auto spreading from my feed updates?

  Please login to your account, go to RSS feed and check the box "Yes, fetch my RSS feed every 5 minutes and "spread" new items".

• How do I link my Twitter and Facebook account to Spread.us?

  Please login to your account and go to your settings page. Scroll down the page to the Twitter application and Facebook application part. Click on "What's this?" on the right side. Then follow the guideline/steps provided to you to connect your Twitter and Facebook account with your Spread.us account

• How can I link my RSS feed with Spread.us?

  You can link your Wordpress plugin or take advantage of our RSS import function. You can find the RSS import function on your dashboard it is called "RSS feed".

• How do I get more spreaders?

  Here are 3 tips to get more subscribers on your spread.us account: 

  • 1. Install the Spread.us button on your site with a Call-To-Action.
  • 2. Write a blogpost about how Spread.us works for your readers.
  • 3. Make a video on why your readers should be spreading you.
